Functioning:

• If the leak is transient, it will reset in a period that ranges between 1 and 3 minutes (depending on whether it has made more resets previously).
• The differential distinguishes whether the leak is permanent or transient. If the leak is permanent (greater than 15 seconds), the switch opens the circuit and every 15 minutes it will carry out an insulation check. In the event that the control is positive (absence of leaks) it will reset and return to service.
• If, just after the reset, the differential falls again (about three minutes), the reset cycle will start again, with a total of 3 attempts. On the fourth, the RED understands that there have been too many transitory leaks and the operator has to go to check the installation and reset it.
• If after resetting the differential, a time greater than three minutes elapses, the cycle resets and no longer takes into account previous untimely jumps.

If leakage trip (storms, humidity, shot by sympathy, etc.), RED reconnect the installation only if the defect has disappeared, ensuring the safety of people and the system.
