The ICT records comprise a set of envelopes for the construction of Common Telecommunications Infrastructures in accordance with Royal Decree 346/2011 of 03/11/2011.

As described in the annexes of the regulations, its general application will correspond to all buildings and real estate complexes in which there is continuity in the construction, for residential use or not, and whether or not they are newly built, that are sheltered, or should benefit from the horizontal property regime regulated by the Laws in force; and to buildings that, in whole or in part, have been or are leased for a period of more than one year, except those that house a single dwelling.

Secondary registers will be located in the community area and easily accessible, and must be equipped with the corresponding locking system.

A secondary record will be placed in the following cases:

• At the meeting points between a main and a secondary pipeline in the case of residential buildings, at the segregation points towards the homes, in the case of single-family homes.
• At each change of direction or fork in the main pipeline.
• In each 30 m section of the main pipeline.
• In cases of change in the type of driving.

The placement of the registers will be carried out by making a hole 150 mm deep in the wall of the communal area of each floor (landings) at a
minimum distance of 300 mm from the ceiling in its highest part. The back and side walls must be perfectly plastered and, on the back wall, a plate of insulating material (wood or plastic) will be adapted to hold the corresponding connection elements with screws.

Embedded in the wall or mounted on the surface, a box with the corresponding door or lid will have an IP3X degree of protection, and an IK7 degree. In the case of houses single-family homes in which the register is located outside, the degree of protection will be IP55 – IK10. The doors of the registers will have a lock with
opening key.
